Monte Carlo
The Monte Carlo is a 50 foot Delta built charter boat. It has been owned and operated by Phil Anderson since 1982. It is one of the
cleanest and best equipped boats anywhere on the West Coast. It is powered
by twin John Deere engines and cruises between 12 and 14 knots. While many other boats similar in size carry 20 or more passengers, we limit the number of passengers to 14 in order to maximize your comfort and enjoyment of fishing. We feature trips that focus on either salmon or rockfish and ling cod. Chris and Garrett Sawin share the deckhand duties and will greet you with a smile. Prior to his retirement, Chris has owned and operated his own boat for many years and Garrett is beginning his first year assisting Chris and Phil. Together they will make every effort to assist you in having a memorable trip. Phil has been chartering since 1967 when he started as a deckhand. He has owned and operated boats here in Westport since 1970 but also spent ten halibut seasons running out of Neah Bay. He is the former director of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife where he worked from 1994 – 2015. After leaving the Department he was anxious to get back to his true love of spending time on the ocean and helping people catch fish. He and the Monte Carlo have stayed together throughout. Garrett, Chris and Phil make a great team to fish with. They schedule a moderate number of trips each year and strive to make them special for everyone that joins them.
